Case closed on the Miva (formerly known as FindWhat.com) / Yahoo lawsuit. Miva has agreed to pay $8 million to Yahoo as settlement in a long-standing patent infringement suit over its paid listings technology. A US district court judge has ruled against Google in the Google/GEICO AdWords case. The dispute centered around the use of trademarked terms in the text of sponsored ads. The court has stayed the trial for 30 days to give both parties an opportunity to settle. America's favorite satire paper has more GEICO goodness."
